The Trail description

The legendary Path of Love, or locals would say Via dell'Amore, is the most popular and the shortest trail in the Cinque Terre. Everyone can walk here: from baby to adult and even physically challenged people. The Path of Love is cut out in the rock, just above the water surface.

If you want, you can descend from the rock and have a rest near the water. Strolling in the evenings can be more enjoyable than ever, because the Path is lit when it's getting dark. While walking, you can admire diverse types of sandstones and Mediterranean-like bushes on the hillsides.

Landscape beauty and suitability for entry level walking make this trail the most visited in the Five Lands. Unfortunately, the Path of Love faced a big landslide in 2012 which led to some damages of the trail.
