The trail connects Monterosso with the village of Levanto, which is outside of the Cinque Terre. The tourists often stay at Levanto because hotels there are cheaper. By the way, it's more convenient to get there by car and there are more parking places there.

Forty minutes on foot from Monterosso and you will find Cape of Mesco, where you can contemplate breath-taking views from and enjoy the seaside of the Park. You can also find there some ruins of San Antonio Monastery (XIII century). If you find the route to Levanto quite tortuous, you can just come back to Monterosso after taking some photos from the top of the cape.

Walking can be quite entertaining, from Levanto side the trail is becoming higher and you can see the finest views of Liguria from the hilltops. Some people think that the route should be called the most panoramic due to the beauty it offers.
